Leadership Roles

AM I JUST A DESIGNER? NO...

I am a consultant between the service/product owner and the end user/customer

I am a problem solver, and I like to break down problems into multiple solution sets so that I can scope out the project at hand. Not just a designer; I'm a traveler, a foodie, a social butterfly, and an advocate for social impact. Explore my journey through design, leadership, and social change.

design thinking & innovation

Innovation Fellows at University

During my undergraduate studies, I had the privilege of being part of the University Innovation Fellows (UIF) program. This experience was a pivotal point in my journey, shaping my approach to design and innovation.

As a UIF, I acted as a Change Agent at my institution, dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty. We received extensive training from the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University, also known as the d.school. This training focused on "Design Thinking & Innovation," a human-centered approach to problem-solving that emphasizes empathy, ideation, prototyping, and testing.

This experience significantly enhanced my skills in leadership, collaboration, and strategic thinking. It deepened my understanding of how to apply design thinking principles to drive meaningful change and innovation in various contexts.

empathy & attention to detail

Volunteering at Make A Difference

I had the opportunity to volunteer for the Make A Difference (MAD) NGO for three years, where I played a crucial role in mobilizing young leaders to support children in need of care and protection. My time with Make A Difference (MAD) was transformative, providing me with invaluable experiences that have shaped my approach to design and problem-solving.

As a volunteer, I directly engaged with underprivileged children, providing mentorship and academic support to help them achieve better educational outcomes. In this leadership role, I coordinated and managed fundraising initiatives aimed at securing resources for the children and programs supported by MAD.

Working closely with children in shelters taught me profound lessons in empathy. Understanding their challenges and needs allowed me to design more user-centered experiences in my UX projects, ensuring that the solutions I create are truly beneficial for the end-users.
